Any person who enters or uses the outdoor rink must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from other persons using the outdoor rink (excluding members of the same household). Seasonal Recreation is in the process of updating signage for the rinks to ensure this information is prominently displayed for rink users.
Maximum of 25 skaters permitted on the main rink and 12 on the puddle rink at all times.
Indoor spaces should have high touch point areas cleaned frequently. This includes door-knobs and counter tops.
Every person who enters publicly accessible areas that are within a 15 metre distance of the edge of the ice surface, shall wear a mask in a manner that covers their mouth, nose, and chin.
Masks will be mandatory at all times for anyone on the rink that is not skating.
Under the mask bylaw, there are exemptions:
Young children
Persons with medical or cognitive conditions
Persons engaged in athletic/fitness activity
Outdoor rink operators when performing rink maintenance when the public is not on the surface of the ice rink.

HOURS OF OPERATION: KARS RINK
Normally the rink will be open from 9 am to 11pm daily for family and individual skating (please note the lights are on a timer and will turn off at 8pm).
There may be times during cleaning or flooding that the above timings cannot be met. A notice will be posted at the rink, on the Kars RA web and Facebook of the changes if time permits.
POINTS TO NOTE
A porta-potty will be installed for public usage.
As we get more information or any changes to rink policy it will be posted on the Kars RA web site, Facebook and at the rink.
If the lights are out the rink is closed. Please stay off the ice surface, it may have just been flooded.
If the temperature is above zero or the ice surface is wet please do not skate or walk on the rink.
Please put your garbage in the bin provided.
